Patrick Oh, Founder and President

Patrick is a Pomona senior and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Major. He plans to pursue a career in Public Interest law with a particular interest in impact litigation and movement lawyering. Patrick founded PPLS in the Spring of 2024 after recognizing a lack of structured support and resources for students interested in pursuing law careers. He envisioned PPLS as a platform to bridge this gap, providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and educational resources to empower fellow students. As President, he oversees all executive board operations such as Alumni MentorxMentee Pairings, LSAT study groups, and relations with Pre-Law Advisor Susanne Filback.

Tristen Leone, Alumni Relations Director

Tristen is a junior at Pomona majoring in Classics and English. She is primarily interested in Art and Cultural Heritage Law with a particular focus on Archaeology and Cultural Heritage in Conflict and Illicit International Trade of Antiquities. Working collaboratively with the other Alumni Relations Directors, Tristen is responsible for maintaining and strengthening connections between current PPLS members and alumni, organizing alumni events, facilitating networking opportunities, and fostering a sense of community among our past and present members.

Duncan Lee, Alumni Relations Director

Duncan is a junior at Pomona majoring in Economics and minoring in Japanese. He is interested in ____ law. Working collaboratively with the other Alumni Relations Directors, Duncan is responsible for maintaining and strengthening connections between current PPLS members and alumni, organizing alumni events, facilitating networking opportunities, and fostering a sense of community among our past and present members.

Ashley Son, Alumni Relations Director

Ashley is a junior at Pomona majoring in Sociology and Cognitive Science. They are interested in different opportunities in health law. Working collaboratively with the other Alumni Relations Directors, Ash is responsible for maintaining and strengthening connections between current PPLS members and alumni, organizing alumni events, facilitating networking opportunities, and fostering a sense of community among our past and present members.

Kaixin Yan, Treasurer

Kaixin is a sophomore at Pomona who majors in Economics and Politics. She is interested in immigration law. As Treasurer, her main responsibilities include managing all finances for PPLS. This includes club budget, honorariums to guest speakers, budget hearings/requests, etc. She is also the lead on our partnerships with LSAT prep-test companies.

Clare Ahearn, Communications Director

Clare is a junior at Pomona majoring in Public Policy Analysis with a politics concentration and a religious studies minor. She has an interest in public interest law and hopes to work in government in the future. Clare oversees all aspects of internal and external communication for the Pre-Law Society. This includes managing social media accounts, flyer creation, sending out announcements, and coordinating promotional efforts with the CDO.
